Upon Arrival

Please enter the glass doors at the far right of the South Building (visitor entrance).
A valid government or state issued identification card (for example a driver's license) is required to enter the building. Inform Security that you are attending the IDEAS Conference.
Escorts and signage will be posted at Wing 1 to direct you to the Jefferson Auditorium.
Registration will be located in front of the Jefferson Auditorium.

Metro Directions:

Access the Blue or Orange Line to the Smithsonian Metro Station.
Proceed up the escalator toward the Smithsonian exit. Exit the escalator at the street level, turn right, and the Wing 1 visitor entrance will be directly to your right.

Accessible Entrance:

An elevator, located on the Metro platform, will provide an exit across the street from the USDA South Building.
Cross the street and proceed to the elevator of the South Building, which is located on the street level. Take the elevator to the first floor.

Metered Parking:

Limited street-metered parking is available around the perimeter of the building (Independence Avenue, C Street, D Street, and 13th Street).

Parking Garage:

There is a parking garage one block away on D Street called Portals III. Alternatively vendors can attempt street meter parking in 2 hour increments. Additional garages nearby include an outside MarcParc lot at 400 14th Street, and garages several blocks away at L’Enfant Plaza.
